Joseph  Edward Ross

- Savannah - Joseph Edward Ross, 89, died September 6, 2009 at the Habersham House. The Philadelphia, PA native had lived in Savannah for the past fifty five years. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Air Force during World War II, and a former member and past president of the Optimist Club. He retired from C&S Bank after twenty-five years of service.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Frances Elizabeth Morris Ross of Savannah; two sons, Joseph T. Ross of Gainesville, FL; James E. Ross of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Thomas Ross, James E. Ross, Jr., Joseph T. Ross and Rebecca Marie Ross Norman; and six great grandchildren, Christopher and Victoria Ross; Kobbe, Hannah and Britton Norman; Isabella Ross.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors with The Reverend Jeremiah McCarthy officiating.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
